February 5th!, we're finished recording all the tracks for out upcoming EP. Soon the mixing process starts, and then finally the master. So within a few weeks or so we deliver our new EP!.
It was a long day the 15th, at 8:00 we arrived "feeling like a zombie" at our recording location. First we recorded the drums, then bass and finally lots and lots of guitar. We hope to record the vocals somewhere in december, and mix the songs in January. We would like to thank Roland IJsseldijk for the nice pictures and website template and Steven Groenewoud for actually building the site. We've got a brand new set(up) well, meaning... new songs (a melodic mixture of rock and metal) and also two new members. Brian Martens vocals, and Coen Ijsseldijk take's care of all the guitar parts, Tim Roijers drums and Patrick Hoogstrate bass guitar. The promo disk (3 new songs) we already put online to get familiar with the new sound and style of Backlash. As requested we've put a Guestbook online.
Yesterday 20-11-09 we played in 'Bar American' in Middelburg with The Hollow Men and Tellurion. We didn't manage to get the sound right, so for all of you who have a terrible sqweeking noise in there ears we're sorry. There were some problems with the PA wich couldn't be fixed in our 45 minute gig, for some reason all the monitors went nuts and we had to struggle to hear each other. Anyway, we found out that the metal / rock scene is completely dead in Middelburg, so we wont be playing there in the near future. Thanks goes to Tellurion and The Hollow Men, we know how you guys must feel playing for such a small audience. Although we got some nice comments about the show, we didn't had a good time.
